The car sits on staggered 20 inch rear and 18 inch front wheels with new front tyres, and is stopped by four wheel disc brakes, powered by a new master cylinder and booster. Handling is enhanced by a new PG Hydraulics power steering box and pump no leaks.
Under the bonnet is a fresh 350ci small block (4-bolt main), paired to a 700R 4 speed overdrive auto. Backed by a rebuilt diff with 3.5 gears (by Diffs R Us), and a new exhaust system, this Impala runs as good as it looks. Its cooled by a reco radiator with all new hoses, and features a new heater core and switch for year round comfort.
Inside, the dash pod was overhauled by Robinson Instruments with the speedo calibrated for diff and wheel size. Rewired throughout with modern relays where needed, the car features electronic ignition, a modern starter, central locking, and a 4 speaker stereo. All interior courtesy lights including glove box and trunk operate perfectly.
